Patients, physicians, dignitaries and representatives of Radiation Oncology Consultants, Central DuPage Hospital and ProCure Treatment Centers gathered to break ground for the country’s newest proton therapy center, located in the Cantera development near the Winfield Road exit on I-88 in Warrenville, Ill. Patients who have undergone proton therapy joined in as the celebration focused on this good news for patients with cancer.  With construction under way, patient treatment is expected to begin in early 2011.

The ongoing support of patients and physicians, countless people in the community and state of Illinois, and local, state and national leaders and legislators have made this milestone possible.
